Summer In The High NorthThe landscape around the Norwegian fishing village Berlevåg at the Varanger peninsula is a wonderful area for hiking in summer. The free view over the high plains and hill lands allows good orientation. Thanks to the midnight sun it never becomes dark. And the combination of mountains and sea shore is fascinating. The photos below are from a walk to my former retreat place in Storelvdalen, where I spent six weeks in my tent in summer 2008; from the surroundings of the mountain cabin of my friends in Kongsfjorddalen; from my tour to Hanglefjellet and from a trip to Store Molvik. |
