Syria 2007/08At the shift of the year 2007/08 I visited the Dargah of Shihabuddin Yahya Suhrawardi in Aleppo and also made a side trip to Damaskus. Today the country is shaken by a desastrous civil war. Our friends there have to fear for their life, or they live as refugees in one of the surrounding countries, without resources, without job and often without a roof above their heads. And many of the monuments shown on these pictures are partly or completely damaged. |
